Cover Reveal. The Broken Ones

I'm so proud to announce that I'm part of Danielle L. Jensen's cover reveal of The Broken Ones.This beautiful cover was created by Steve Stone [here is the link for his website & artist Partners Profile]. As you all know, I loved Stolen Songbird - it was one of my favourite readings of 2016 - and I can't wait to fall into this world again. I'm currently waiting for the rest of the trilogy to arrive at my doorstep.

If you'd like to win a copy of The Malediction Trilogy, The Broken Ones and some swag, go visit the author's website.

The Broken Ones is expected to be released in June 6th 2017.

"A prequel to the USA Today bestseller and Goodreads Choice finalist Stolen Songbird (The Malediction Trilogy). Below Forsaken Mountain, a revolution stirs with the aim to overthrow the tyrant king of Trollus, and Marc is the right hand of its leader. It’s a secret more than one troll would kill to possess, which is why he must keep it from everyone, even the girl he loves. Since a tragic accident revealed her affliction and ruined her sister’s chance at the throne, Pénélope is an anathema to her father, the Duke d’Angoulême. Deeming her life worthless, he gives her one chance to survive: find proof that the boy she loves is a leader in the sympathizer revolution. Marc and Pénélope must navigate the complex politics of Trollus, where powers on all sides are intent on using them as pawns, forcing them to risk everything for a chance at a life together. Except being together might be the greatest risk of all."

Bout of Books 18. Sign Up, Goals, Progress & Wrap Up

"The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda Shofner and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, January 2nd and runs through Sunday, January 8th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 18 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. - From the Bout of Books team"
Until today, I haven't thought about joining Bout of Books 18. I've a really busy schedule (a few orals presentations and some essays to write). However, I decided to give it an opportunity even though I won't be reading as much as I did during the previous read-a-thons.

My goals for Bout of Books 18 Read-a-Thon are:
  1. To read every day 50 pages;
  2. To participate in two challenges;
  3. To update my progress every day.

New year means new goals. This year here are a few things I've set myself to accomplish:
  • I'm hoping to finally read 70 books. It has been one of my goals for a while but I never fulfilled it -and to read more I decided that this year I'll improve my time management. Or maybe I will just stop sleeping... Some of the books I'd like to read this year are: the Lord of the Rings trilogy (no book ban for me; still trying to figure out which edition to buy. Any suggestions?), The Name of the Wind (people keep telling me how good it's but I haven't had the time to read it yet) and some Stephen King (I will be ordering Misery soon).
  • I hope too to reach the 2k followers mark on Instagram. I'm so grateful to everyone who welcomed me in the #bookstagram community.
  • Another goal is to take my blog to higher places. Not sure how I'll do it, but I'll try to write more reviews and try to be a lot more part of the book blog community (which can be difficult because it can be a close circle 🙁).
I guess these are all of my bookish resolutions. Which are yours? 😊

I hope everyone had fun during Bout of Books 18. See you on Bout of Books 19. :)
